Portland is warm and wet and weird and I love it. I’m still lost and scared 75% of the time, but I’m so happy to smell the air here.

What a week. So many changes! So many cookies! All is well and chaos at the same time. However, I know deep in my bones this is the place for me. Sorry Mom, I’m probably not moving back.

It was tough being away from my family and friends this Thanksgiving. However, some old friends introduced me to new ones who treated me like family. My landing has been a soft one thanks to @woods.es, @mikewoods503 and @pipsandbounce. Even the weather has been cooperating nicely. I’ll take ferns over snow 10/10.

This morning’s run to the top of Mt. Tabor. Can you believe I get to stay here? I can’t. (Also, i really need to get used to running up and down inclines. This one was a butt-kicker.)

Guys, at the end of the week, I’m taking a big leap. 1,700 miles to be exact. After spending my formative adult years living in the North, I’m finally getting to realize my dream of living on the west coast. Lots of changes are in store, but I’m excited to live the life of my dreams.

My first wooden airplane launch from the top of the Astoria Column was an epic failure. I’ll keep practicing.
