Great things happen when work and life mesh so well together. Thanks for an incredibly fun week @adventure_advertising, @capturefilmco, @surecanproductions, @tk_58222 and @_paulvincent_. Cant wait to do it again!

Nebraska’s tourism campaign makes the bold statement that its scene isn’t for everyone. It’s for those who find beauty in vast expanses of prairie. Those who can and want to spend hours digging through the shelves of a used bookstore. Those who love a bit of quirk alongside modern progress. After spending the weekend in Omaha, I have to agree. It is not a city that has something for everyone. But it scratched several of my freak itches and I will certainly be back.

My first Summer Outdoor Retailer show was a trip. Working with a beloved brand like Vasque introduced me to so many smart, funny and incredible people. Despite some wicked jet lag, it was a really energizing experience. Also, take a look at these throwback boots!

Coming back from vacation is always hard. It’s been especially hard to come back from Iceland. I spent the week touring a country so beautiful, it literally sparkles. And the people I met, from my Trek Travel guides and fellow riders, to the locals I interacted with, were simply amazing. My heart feels full, but I left a small piece of it there. I will be back to retrieve it someday soon. In the meantime, GO see this place for yourself. It’s worth paying $12 for a beer.

Last day in Iceland: Horses, Aunt Nancy’s cracked ribs and staying out all night long in Reykjavik. What a place! What people! What a week. I wish I could stay one more.

Iceland day 7: Tired, dirty, happy. Rode 15 miles through a lava field, ate lunch in a sheep herders hut, rinsed off the mud and soaked in a hot tub with a view of a waterfall, and drank a little too much vodka. Again. Can I stay another week?
