Join The Adventure Squad

Screen Shot 2014-12-29 at 5.04.27 PMThe Adventure Squad was created one night while roaming the streets of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with a group of friends. We decided to break away from our all-inclusive resort to eat real (albeit, touristy) Mexican food and see real Mexican sights. Fueled by margaritas and curiosity, we wandered aimlessly down dark side streets that led to bright city centers that led to lively adventures, night after night. Not only did we manage to stumble upon some wonderful experiences, we learned some interesting things about one another.* That’s the beauty of traveling with friends.

Luke and I have built our relationship on a shared curiosity of the world and our love of exploring its nooks and crannies. It’s become a normal part of our weekends to get on our bikes or in the car and go somewhere new. Oftentimes, we don’t have to travel far or plan extensively to discover and experience incredible things. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This summer, we want to encourage all of our friends to join us. We’ll post our plans to a Facebook Events page about a week in advance. The first one is already up – check it out here. Simply “Join” to let us know you’re coming along. Most of our adventures will be weekend day trips, but we’re already planning a few special occasion overnighters. We’ll give more advance notice so you can plan ahead for those trips.

See you out there!

*A sampling of what I learned about my friends in Mexico:

– Ross can say, “Put your hands against the wall!” in perfect Spanish, but doesn’t know the word for “party.” (Ross learned to speak Spanish while working as a correctional officer.)

– Lindsey’s winning combination of good looks and enthusiasm for obscure liquor transcends all language barriers.

– If a margarita exceeds the size of Nathan’s head, he should split it with a friend – for the sake of unsuspecting sea turtles everywhere. Screen Shot 2014-12-29 at 5.06.00 PM
