Cliffs, coves and clear blue water

Marquette, Michigan is known for its natural beauty and Presque Isle Park may be the loveliest place of all. There are numerous things to do here. For the more laid-back types, there are numerous easy hiking trails through the woods and along the shore of Lake Superior. For the more adventurous among us, there are cliffs to climb and jump off of into clear blue water. Swimming back to the shore of the cove is half the fun, but not for the faint of heart.

Visit during the summer months and you’ll have no shortage of sun, sand and endless expanses of water to play with. You may even confuse northern Michigan with northern California, until you realize that nothing in this water cares to eat you.
